Development News – Feb 2014


Planning consent has been granted for 25 dwellings comprising of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes of which 25 are to be affordable with 2 open market 4 bedroom detached units with double garages. The site has been sold to Ocean Housing  who will deliver the Affordable Units (enquiries to n.mitchell@oceanhousing.com) – the 2 Open Market plots will be available for sale in Spring 2014 through First Step Homes (Email:derek@firststephomes.co.uk or martin@firststephomes.co.uk).

North Hill, nr. Launceston

Registered Provider/Housing Association Partner being sought to bring forward development and deliver intermediate rent and discounted Sale/Shared Equity Units.


A Planning Application has been lodged for a mix of Affordable and Open Market 2, 3 and 4 bed units totalling 20 dwellings. A decision is anticipated in May 2014.


Amend as: A scheme of Affordable Rented, Intermediate for sale and Open Market 2, 3 and 4 bed units totalling 23 dwellings available to local qualifying people from st agnes Parish has been through the final Public Consultation and it is anticipated a Planning application will be submitted Spring 2014.

Burrington (North Devon)

A site suitable for circa 30 dwellings – currently on hold awaiting a change in District Council policy to allow for Affordable Rented and Intermediate for sale properties.


A site of just over 4 acres which has been allocated in the D.N.P.A. Local Plan for Residential Development of circa. 60 dwellings of which a significant percentage will be affordable homes to rent or buy for Local People. A planning application is anticipated in the first half of 2014 and FSH are seeking expressions of interest from suitable Development Partners.

St Columb

A site for approx. 24 homes (S.T.P.) of which a percentage will be affordable dwellings for local people. A Development Partner is being sought to work with FSH.

Shortlanesend (near Truro)

A site suitable for approx. 24 Units with affordable homes for qualifying people from Kenwyn Parish. Following Local consultations we expect to lodge a planning Application before Easter 2014.


A circa 3 acre site which if fully utilised would provide up to 40 dwellings. FSH are seeking a Registered Provider partner to bring the site forward.
